The specialty of food photography is extra fun because although I am a photographer by profession, I am also a chef by trade and very comfortable shooting in any commercial kitchen as well as my fully equipped studio kitchen. It’s one thing to prepare food tasty, also making it presentable and then, making it photogenic…..or the Big-Mac factor. Open the box and there it is; smells good, tastes good even feels good, but it’s not eat-candy….far from it. So, in order to make it look good for the camera, we have to style it using all kinds of tricks and thingies. This takes patience and skill.
